INTRODUCTION

Library is one of the most essential section of any institution. Here students can find reference books for their syllabus, general knowledge books, story books etc. It’s not only useful for students but also very useful for teachers and guardians as well. But taking care of the system of providing the valuable knowledge through books of library to each and every person of the institution is a quite laborious job. Controlling the library system manually like which book is issued to which person or when a particular book will be available is not only time taking but also error prone due to human error. Digitization of the library management system can solve the said problems at least 90% i.e. a button click will provide that which book is issued to whom, when a book will be available, how much amount of fine should be collected or which book is lost or damaged.

We are glad to inform you that Excel Infocom has developed a Digitized Library Management System for Schools, named, LIBRAMAN. We have take care of the said problems in here which provides the librarian an independent, error free, not so time taking management system for the library. We developed LIBRAMAN as a plug-in of VIDYASTHI. So, those schools who are using VIDYASTHI can export their institutional data, student’s and employee’s data to LIBRAMAN just on a button click. Non-user of VIDYASTHI can also use LIBRAMAN as an individual application.

FEATURES

The following features are available in LIBRAMAN:

Configuration: Here user can enter Organization details, Member details, Book details etc. Books can be entered according to book category (story book, reference book, study book etc.)

Transaction:

Book Issue Return: Here books can be issued and returned. Damage or lost details of any book also can be entered. Fine collection and bill also can be printed here.

Search:

Book Search: This interface helps to search a book and its availability status. A book can be searched according to “Accession Number”, “Accession Date”, “Book Title”, “Book Sub Title”, “Author”, “Editor”, “Publisher” etc. Record also can be printed from MS Excel.

Reports:

Non-Issued Books: Only non-issued books can be searched here.

Rejected Books: Only rejected books can be searched here.

Newly Added Books: Here user can generate a report on newly added books according to date.

Lost Books: This report shows those books, which are lost from library.

Member Details: This report shows all types of member’s information.

Member wise Book Issue Details: This report is generating all issued and returned books information.

Date wise Fine Collection: Date wise fine collection report are generated here.

Import Data:

Database Utility: This interface helps to import member information (Student and Employee data) from “Vidyasthi” software. When importing the data, member number also can be generated automatically.

Utilities:

Back Up & Restore: Here librarian can take the backup and also does the restore procedure.
